Geohot and Sony

So there's this hacker who hacked the IPhone in the past and he's also the first one to hack the PS3 got sued by Sony but not for hacking the PS3 but because he put the information on how to hack it on the internet and apparently he also made a rap video directed to Sony



Now,there's a group of hackers called Anonymous who fight for the free flow of information and are now protesting his lawsuit by hacking Sony's sites and they even intent going in Sony's stores around the world and make protests there.Now after the prosecution against Geohot is over the court came to a verdict that from now on he's gonna have to pay Sony 10,000$ for everytime he puts the information on the internet but the supporters of Geohot who donated cash to him apparently want it back because instead of going against Sony he came to an agreement with them in the court.

A little update on the story.



Apparently they disabled the whole PS3 network like a week or two ago,Sony just said it was "under maintaince".

Are they actually collecting ips? lol

Yes but the thing is Sony said that they did it to know what areas these people who visited his site from,don't know why they need to know that,i wonder if they're really suing those people like anonymous says.
